HEAT EXCHANGER REPAIR AND PROTECTION

WET SPACES

Belzona’s linings provide long-term protection against corrosion, erosion, and chemical attack for areas in constant seawater immersion, ensuring minimal downtime and restoring equipment like sea strainers and bilge pockets.

PIPEWORK

Belzona offers surface-tolerant coatings and cladding protection for pipes and ductwork to prevent weathering and corrosion, as well as high-temperature resistant materials for rebuilding and protecting inboard engine exhaust systems on leisure boats. Additionally, Belzona’s spray-friendly pipe lining system provides erosion-corrosion protection against seawater and solid particles, with a unique thermoplastic filler blend for enhanced toughness, abrasion, and chemical resistance.

RUDDER AREAS

Cavitation damage on rudders leads to erosion and pitting, which can be repaired with a Belzona composite and protected with a cavitation-resistant coating to slow reoccurrence. This coating can also be applied to new constructions for long-term protection against cavitation.4o

BONDING OF EQUIPMENT

Belzona's cold bonding technology eliminates the need for hot work, enabling rapid installation with high tensile shear adhesion (up to 2,960 psi), pull-off adhesion (up to 3,240 psi), and flexural strength (up to 14,300 psi). This allows for the permanent and safe bonding of equipment like brackets and supports, and is ideal for quickly reinstalling deck-mounted equipment after hull repairs, reducing dry docking time.
